Internet Marketing-article writing

A friend was asking me a couple of questions on article writing and submitting to article directories. Here are my answers:

First thing, if you can have a special email account just for your article submission that would be good because you receive a lot of notifications.

Most article directories do not allow links in the body of the article. The link to your site should be displayed in your ressource box only.
One thing I found is that you article could benefit from a smoother beginning. It starts with "by now". I don,t know if you were going for the NLP technique to subliminally tell people to "buy now" but it is kind of abrupt. An intro I would see is something like. Personal Mp3 players and ipods have grown in popularity recently and blah blah the battery and blah blah.

I do not see the point in title and author rotation. If the content does not change, the article will be rejected as duplicate content. Since I write my own articles or have them written for 5$ I do not even bother with the rotator softwares because I like to provide quality and recycled content is not my cup of tea.
As for using your real name or not it depends what you want to do: If you want to brand yourself as the expert, you should use your name. If you are only posting articles to get links, a pen name or even fake name will do.
Most articles directories allow 2 to 3 links in your ressource box. Putting more than three can have you rejected.
You can search at ezine articles the link I gave you to my articles and you will see my ressource box.

The best is to use plain text in articles as many directories do not accept HTML. In the ressource box, that,s where you would put your URL links.

One thing I have learned too is to link some articles to your home page and then when you have more, do some deep linking to the other pages on your site. This increases the overall value of your site.
