China Field Trip-day 1
Hi everyone,
allow me to share my logs for the China Field trip I am taking with Brad Fallon, John Reese and about 40 other internet marketers. I am already running behind in my postings as travelling has taken a lot of my time.
I took off at 6:30 a.m. Montreal time after another night spent working at the delivery room. Ahead of me, I had three flights: first short one to Toronto, the 14 hours one to Bejing and then a 4 hours one to Gangzhou. Our goal on this trip is to go to the trade show and seek businness opportunities in importing Chinese goods.
The first flight went smoothly. I dreaded the 14 hours one. Upon settling on the plane, I asked the man sitting next to me if he could help me to write the name of the hotel I was going to in Chinese so I could get a cab once there....We never stopped talking since then!!!
I cannot write his name but this very helpful and resortful man was born in China and now lives in Toronto. He was going to visit his family.
The flight was surprisingly pleasant with zero turbulence, two hot meals, snack and plenty of fluid to drink (they even had free wine! something I hadn't seen in over 10 years).
The next pictures taken from the plane do not render justice to the beautiful pink and blue sky that welcomed us. We also passed over mountains of Siberian snow.
Upon arriving at the airport that's when the culture shock hit me: crowds of screaming and pushing people! China has a population problem and it shows. There is people everywhere.
We were greated by the future 2007 Olympic mascot.Cute!!
More later...
